Plain-language summary
When you do not have a user account (or when you're not signed in to it), we store exactly one thing on your device: a flag that indicates you closed our announcement popup. Everything you type into an invoice or quote, any logo you upload, and the status of the "PAID" checkbox lives only in the page while you're using it and disappears the moment you close or reload it.
What We Collect
Just Invoice Me ("we," "us," "our") provides a free, browser-based invoice and quote generator at JustInvoiceMe.com (the "Site"). The tool is designed to run entirely in your browser. When you use it without creating an account (or when you are not signed in to an account), none of the information you type into the invoice or quote form (company details, client information, line items, etc.) is ever sent to our own servers, nor even stored on your own computer. Once it becomes available, if you actively choose to use the optional "Email Invoice"/"Email Quote" feature, it will open your own email client on your own computer, and pre-fill some information that you can edit before sending the email yourself. None of your invoice data is ever transmitted anywhere outside of our control. See our Privacy Policy for more on that.
Separately, if you use the feedback form on the Site, its contents and a different set of fields: your name, email, subject, and message, (unrelated to any invoice or quote you're working on) are relayed through an email provider, solely to reach us.
The only thing the Site stores on your device without an account is a single technical flag recording whether you've already seen our announcement popup, so it doesn't show again automatically. See our Cookies & Local Storage page for the complete, current list of everything stored and why.
We Do Not Sell or Share Your Data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your information with any other company, organization, or individual, for any reason — including advertising or marketing.
The Site uses a small number of third-party services strictly to operate its own features. The feedback form, and the optional "Email Invoice"/"Email Quote" feature (once available), are both relayed through the same transactional email service (EmailJS) solely to deliver them — to us for feedback. That service does not use the content for any purpose of its own. Some pages include buttons linking to third-party services (such as our Ko-fi and PayPal tip jar) — choosing to use those is you interacting directly with that service, governed by its own privacy practices, not something we relay data into ourselves.
If we ever add a service that handles information more broadly, such as a payment processor for a future paid subscription, we will update this policy first to describe exactly what's shared, with whom, and why, before that happens.
Optional Account Features
We offer an optional free account system that lets you save information for convenience (such as your company details or a custom invoice template) instead of re-entering it each time. Creating an account is, and remains, entirely optional. The free tool continues to work fully without one. This policy will be updated with the specifics of what account data is collected, how it's stored, and how you can access, correct, or delete it.
Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the Site's features change. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Last updated" date.
